Hooray!
After being unemployed for three months and thinking I would never work again, I suddenly find myself back in employment. It's not what I would have chosen but a job is a job right now.
So, for all you out there sitting thinking there's no future-there is! You may have to lower your sights a little as I did but, in two years time when things start to improve, you can get on your bike and find your career again.
Who knows, this new start for me may prove to be a great success and I may not return to sales which after 25 years, is all I thought I'd know.
P.S.
At 52, it just goes to show you can teach an old dog new tricks.

Hi Louise,
Thanks for the the goodwill message. I have just another week to finish my basic training and then the real learning begins.
This is the first time I have worked in the public sector and it's all very new and revealing. Having always been 'hands on' has made my training more difficult but I never give up and I WILL succeed.
Good luck to you and I hope you've not been affected by this dreadful downturn?
